Mentoring

In addition to her busy mediation practice, Judy is committed and heavily involved with mediation advocacy, awareness and education. Judy often has students from UofT law school, Osgoode Hall law school, and various other law schools across Ontario, observe and shadow her mediations. Judy has developed courses and taught students on writing mediation memos, client advocacy, and how to behave in mediation. Judy also has students from Seneca College, Humber River, and George Brown college studying ADR courses observe and shadow her mediations as part of educational practicums. Judy is committed to helping the next generation of lawyers and ADR professionals expand on their skills in conflict resolution. To enroll in shadowing opportunities please email [email protected]

Lecturing

Judy has developed and implemented many negotiation and mediation workshops and training seminars. She has been invited to lecture on mediation at Columbia Law School and NYU law school. Judy lectures on various topics in conflict resolution and negotiation skills training at forums for lawyers, accountants, medical professionals and businesses. Judy is often invited as a keynote speaker at business management events, conferences and workshops. Judy is an active member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, Canadian Defence Lawyers, Osgoode professional development group and regularly attends seminars and workshops to keep up to date on current trends, recent caselaw and information sessions in the legal world. 

Judy enjoys blogging and writing articles on trends in mediation, negotiations, litigation and case law.
